When sending an email to an email address that is in someone's record in Gnosis, you may add a "cc" or "bcc" to your Gnosis Auto-File email address to have Gnosis file a copy of the email in the recipient person's contact management tab.
To have this feature enabled (if it is not), contact Gnosis support and request the contact management auto-file feature to be turned on.
The default email address provided to copy emails to Gnosis is generally YOUR_ORG_ID@gnosismail.net. If you would like an easier email address to remember, you can add an alias email to your email system and point it to forward all emails to your Gnosis File email address. For example, if you are using Office365/Microsoft365 email, perform the following:
- set up a Microsoft Office 365 contact record with the email address: YOUR_ORG_ID@gnosismail.net
- Add an office365 distribution group, giving it a simple name and email for you to remember (i.e., Gnosis@YourDomain.org), with the only member being the contact record added in the previous step.
Once this is done, you can cc or bcc email to your Gnosis@YourDomain.org address to have it automatically recorded in the person's contact management file.
Please Note: Auto-filing an email can take up to 15 minutes from the time the email was sent before it appears in the contact's record.
