Overview

Connect4 offers a service designed for users who run an Apple Mac as their primary machine, or who cannot install and run the Gnosis application on their own system.

Our Gnosis Remote Desktop Service is a subscription service offered on a six-month renewable term, allowing you to run Gnosis in three environments that typically do not support it.

The service provides a Gnosis Desktop window that runs on your system alongside other applications, allowing you to use all Gnosis features.

You can copy and paste files (such as reports or spreadsheets) from your Gnosis system to your main desktop, just as you do now between applications.

Prerequisites

To implement this service, you only need to install the Microsoft Remote Desktop application from the Apple Mac App Store (on Macs), the iOS App Store for iPads, or the equivalent products for Unix/Linux desktops and Windows PCs.

Service Costs & Order

The service is offered for $14.85/month on a renewable six-month term, with an initial setup fee of $29.00.  To order the service, please send a message to support@connect4.net requesting the "Gnosis Remote Desktop" service.

Installing the Service

You will need to install the "Windows Remote Desktop" application from the Mac App Store.  Once installed, use the configuration sheet provided by Support when you requested the service to enter the IP address, username, and password for your remote desktop machine.

Using the Service

You need to start the Remote Desktop software to open a session on the cloud PC.  Once you have done this, you will have a Windows desktop with a Gnosis icon that you will use to run Gnosis.

  1. So, the steps are:
  2. Open the Windows Remote Desktop application
  3. Log into the remote desktop with the username and password that you were provided with when initially installing the service (username will be DesktopXXX (where the XXX is a number).
  4. Then, when your Windows desktop is open, Run Gnosis and log in to your Gnosis account with your username and password.
