Setting Up Your Authorize.net Account

The instructions and application form for Authorize.net is completed online. If you already receive credit cards via your own merchant account, you will only need to apply for the Internet Payment Gateway.  If you do not have a Merchant Account, you will need to either apply for one via your bank or some other financial institution or, you may elect to apply for a merchant account as part of your Authorize.net Application.

  1. Submit your application here as instructed below.
    1. Card not Present
    2. Payment Gateway for Credit Card Processing
    3. Internet Merchant Account for Credit Card Processing (ONLY if you want a merchant account with Authorize.net.)
    4. Customer Information Manager (ONLY, if you want to keep credit card information on file, and/or perform recurring billing for dues, pledges or other periodical payments.)
    1. Select the following options:

-Once completed and submitted, wait for acceptance documentation from Authorize.net-

 

  1. Once you have received your approved Internet Payment Gateway documentation from Authorize.net, you will need to login to your Authorize.net account management portal and obtain information to provide to Connect4 support to enable your Gnosis powered e-commerce transactions:
    1. Login to your Authorize.net portal at https://account.authorize.net/ using the login ID and password supplied to you in your documentation
    2. Select the "Account" link in the main menu bar. This will take you to the settings screen.
    3. Scroll down the settings screen to "Security Settings".  The last option here is "API Login ID and Transaction Key".
    4. Note the API Login ID listed on this page.
    5. Answer the security question on the page and then press the "Submit" button.
    6. Provide the Transaction Key listed and the API Login ID that you previously noted to Connect4 Support.
    7. At this time, you may also wish to take your gateway out of "Test Mode". This option is also listed in the Security Settings area of the Account Settings page.
    8. Sign out of your Authorize.net portal.
