Setting Up Your Authorize.net Account
The instructions and application form for Authorize.net is completed online. If you already receive credit cards via your own merchant account, you will only need to apply for the Internet Payment Gateway. If you do not have a Merchant Account, you will need to either apply for one via your bank or some other financial institution or, you may elect to apply for a merchant account as part of your Authorize.net Application.

- Card not Present
- Payment Gateway for Credit Card Processing
- Internet Merchant Account for Credit Card Processing (ONLY if you want a merchant account with Authorize.net.)
- Customer Information Manager (ONLY, if you want to keep credit card information on file, and/or perform recurring billing for dues, pledges or other periodical payments.)
- Select the following options:

Activating Your New Authorize.net Account with Gnosis
- Once you have received your approved Internet Payment Gateway documentation from Authorize.net, you will need to log in to your Authorize.net account management portal and obtain information to provide to Connect4 support to enable your Gnosis-powered e-commerce transactions:

Log in to your Authorize.net portal at https://account.authorize.net/ using the login ID and password supplied to you in your documentation
- Ensure that you are using the "New" Authorize.net interface to use these instructions.
- Choose "Account & API Settings" from the side menu:
- Ensure that your "Transaction Processing Mode" is set to on and then select the "API Credentials & Keys" option:
- Review the API Credentials & Keys screen and copy the API Login ID value, as you will need to provide that to Connect4 support. When noted, press the "GENERATE NEW TRANSACTION KEY" button:
- IMPORTANT: If you are already using this Authorize.net account with a different third-party system, you will need to provide other third parties posting to this Authorize.net account with the new Transaction key generated here within 12 hours:
- Once you have a new Transaction Key, note it down as you will need to provide it to Connect4 support and any other third parties) along with the previously noted API Login ID. You can use the link provided by Connect4 Support to submit the new transaction ID and Key values to us - DO NOT MAIL THEM, as they should be handled like you would handle credit card information.
