Overview transactions are automatically registered under the donor account in Gnosis, however, occasionally it can be difficult to match an transaction to a donor record in Gnosis - for example, when the name on the card that was used does not match the donor's name.


To identify an transaction in Gnosis, please perform the following steps:

  1. Log in to your portal account, or locate the transaction email you may have received.
  2. If you are using the portal and not the email, proceed to the Transaction Reports option:
     ...and then locate and click to open the transaction in question so you can see the transaction in the detailed view.
  3. Review a section of that detailed view as shown below:
    - The invoice number will be the invoice number in Gnosis, or, if it is a simple gift, it will reflect the Contribution Gift ID in Gnosis
    - The Customer ID is the PID in your Gnosis system
  4. Use the PID to open the donor record and review the contributions tab to locate the transaction in question.
