If you wish to use a sequence of member numbers in your system, you must pre-allocate the member ID numbers that you wish to use.
Use the member number admin area to set up your member number ranges:
In the member number management screen, you then should add the range you desire:
- The Prefix should be empty unless you are using prefixes to denote different membership levels or types
- Enter the Start at number for the range you desire
- Enter the Number of items you need to add - NOTE: This is the NUMBER of items you want to add, not the ENDING number
Ensure that you do not add multiple overlapping ranges with the same (or empty) prefix as that can cause the system to issue the same ID number multiple times.
