Follow the steps below to copy the exact criteria and result fields from an existing report or ad-hoc query to a new recipient group within Communications. We recommend that all mailing lists should be generated in the Communications module and not created directly from Gnosis report results. See this training video for a further explanation of the importance of using Gnosis Communications as recommended.
Criteria/Query Copy Process
- Go into edit mode on the existing report or ad-hoc query screen. If using a report and the report is locked, you can use the Copy option to access the criteria. (You do not need to save the copy of the report unless you need to.)
- If copying from reports, On the criteria page, click the copy button shown in the image below
If copying from an Ad-Hoc query, use the copy button visible under the query design canvas:
- In Communications, start the new recipient group (see training video available) and once on the recipient group criteria page, click the paste button (shown below) to apply all criteria and result fields copied from the report
- Make any necessary adjustments and finish the prompts to save the new recipient group for use in your Communications item.
