Overview
Gnosis includes two types of address verification functionality for addresses in the USA & Canada:
- Verification of address information in real-time at the point of entry.
- Bulk verification/updating of postal addresses.
Address Verification Service Fees
We have established the address verification service with a user-pays, cost-plus pricing structure to keep costs as low as possible. Unlike the $50/month minimum fee for address verification (we're looking at you, Smarty.com), we are offering the inbuilt Gnosis service for a minimum commitment of $5.85 per month with a sliding scale as follows:
Tier | Volume | (Cost Per Lookup) | Fee per 250 lookups |
Base | Service cost + Includes the first 250 address verifications/month | $ 0.0234 | $ 5.85 |
Tier 1 | Additional Lookups from 251-4000 address verifications/month | $ 0.0140 | $ 3.50 |
Tier 2 | Additional Lookups over 4000 address verifications/month | $ 0.0116 | $ 2.90 |
Fees listed are applied to each group of 250 lookups or part thereof.
Enabling The Service
We provide the option for you to use an external address verification tool like smarty.com or use our inbuilt service.
To use our new inbuilt service, you must first ensure that you have the Gnosis Address Verification add-on enabled on your system.
We have enabled Address verification on all systems as of November 1st, 2023. Continuing to use the service past November will require the payment of a service fee listed above.
You may request ongoing service activation by sending an email to support.
Testing The Service
Firstly, ensure that your Address Verification Service is enabled on your system:
- as a System Administrator, on the main menu of Gnosis, go to Settings | Preferences & Settings and select the "Service Integration" tab.
- Find the "Address Verification Provider" configuration item, and in the "Organization" column, ensure that it has a value of !Auto to specify using the Gnosis Auto-Address verification service.
- Lastly, ensure the "Address Verification Suspended" checkbox is unchecked to activate the service.
To test that your service is correctly set up, load any person record that has a household address and make some changes to ensure that the address will fail verification. The easiest things to change are:
- Change the zip code to have only 4 digits
- Change the St/Ave/Plc/etc... street abbreviation to spell out the full Street/Avenue/Place/etc...
When you save the record, a new "Address Verification" Window will be displayed. If you receive this window, your address verification system has been set up correctly.
