Table of Contents

Overview

Generally, your Gnosis portal website design will be an exact copy of your main website design with the same navigation menu structure and links.  If this is the case for your organization, you most likely have access to update the navigation menu to correspond with any changes on your main website.  This article describes that process and how to check if your portal site has that capability built into its design.

Updating The Navigation in your C1 CMS (Content Management System)

Take the following steps to update your navigation:

Firstly, Log in to your C1 CMS.  Once logged in:

  1. Navigate to the Layout perspective on the side menu.

  2. Open the Page Template Features section to reveal whether your site has navigation menus available for editing.  If so, continue below.  If not, place a call to support to have your menus updated and perhaps add the edit option to your Page Template Features section.

  3. Double-click or use the "Edit Template Feature" button to open the desired navigation menu

  4.  Your menu items will now be displayed in the editing canvas area.  You may change existing menu items or add new items as needed.

(NOTE: If the formatting or layout of the menu system gets visually disturbed, it is recommended that you close your edits without saving and start editing again if "undo" doesn't work).

  5. Once all changes have been made, press the green "Save" button (there is no "publish" button for this area).

  6. Lastly, refresh your view of the website to verify that your changes have been correctly made.
