This article outline the steps to complete a number of different possible actions for an existing event registration.

  • Changing a Registration Category
  • Adding Guest Names
  • Reassigning a Registration to Another Person
  • Deleting a Registration

Changing a Registration Category

At this time it is not possible to change the registration category on an existing registration. Instead, you must first delete the existing registration (see Deleting a Registration below) and create a new registration for the new desired category. If the registration has a paid invoice for a ticketed event, the invoice will stay intact.

Adding Guest Names

Follow these steps to manually add the names and emails of guests which were originally unnamed at the time of the booking:

  1. Open the record of the booking person and go to their Event Registration tab.
  2. Locate the line for the necessary event and use the drop-down at the far right of the line.
  3. Select Add/View Registrant Names.
  4. In the new window that appears, enter the missing guest info and click Save Changes.

If desired, you may also utilize a Gnosis email and portal page process which would allow the booking persons to directly enter their missing guest names online. See How to Gather Missing Registrant Names for details and setup of this process.

Reassigning a Registration to Another Person

Follow these steps to transfer a registration to another record:

  1. If necessary, create a new record for the person to which the registration needs to be transferred.
  2. Open the record of the person with the registration you wish to transfer and go to their Event Registration tab.
  3. Locate the line for the necessary event and use the drop-down at the far right of the line.
  4. Select Reassign Registration.
  5. In the popup that appears, search for and select the new person to assign the existing registration to and click Confirm.

If the booking has an associated invoice for a ticketed event, the invoice will remain intact under the booking person's record. There is usually no invoice action to take when reassigning a registration.

Deleting a Registration

There are two pieces to a registration, the booking record as well as the registration record. Depending on the scenario you may need to only delete a registration for a single person and other times it may be necessary to delete the booking and all registrations. Read carefully below before performing either action.

Delete Registration will only delete the one registration for the selected person and event. The booking, including any other registrations made at the time of booking, will remain intact.

  1. Open the record of the registered person and go to their Event Registration tab.
  2. Locate the line for the necessary event and use the drop-down at the far right of the line.
  3. Select Delete Registration.

Delete Booking and All Registrations will delete both the bookings record and all registrations included in the booking.

  1. Open the record of the booking person and go to their Event Registration tab.
  2. Locate the line for the necessary event and use the drop-down at the far right of the line.
  3. Select Delete Booking and All Registrations.

In the case of ticketed events where an registration invoice has been paid it is likely you will need also reverse the all or a portion of the payment. See Reversing Invoice Payments

So, if I delete registration and try to re-register a person with a different event category, how do I avoid paying for the event? Thanks.
