You may occasionally find that Gnosis will receive a notification from the card gateway indicating a transaction has a problem. When this happens, Gnosis will mark the transaction as "Incomplete" and it will show up on the batch management screen and the batch report with a peach-puff background.
Additionally, a "flag" notation is displayed in three different areas:
1. When selecting the batch in the Batch Management screen, the Card Flags button at the bottom of the screen becomes active.
2. The Batch Report will highlight the flagged transaction with an orange background and include the following notation on the final page.
3. When viewing the batch in Contribution Entry, the transaction will be highlighted.
Steps to Resolve Flagged Transactions
When a batch has flagged transactions, press the "Card Flags" button on the batch management screen, and the following Flagged Card processing window appears:
There are three kinds of card flags that can occur:
- When the Authorize.net "Possible Fraud" filter puts the transaction on hold
- When Gnosis does not get a response from Authorize.net when submitting a transaction, it will mark it as potentially incomplete.
- When a transaction is not present in Authorize.net, it will be marked as missing.
If the Transaction Reason displays an AVS Handling Filter, you may approve or reject the transaction, and Gnosis will make the same change in the authorize.net portal. No manual adjustment is required in the authorize.net portal.
If the Transaction Reason displays Incomplete Transaction, you must verify on the authorize.net portal whether the transaction was successfully processed.
If the Transaction Reason displays Not found in credit card gateway, you should most likely remove it from Gnosis as it has already been deleted in authorize.net.
In Gnosis, use the drop-down in the Verify (V) column to Approve or Delete each suspect transaction based on whether the transaction was successfully processed.
