Introduction

You may now add your Gnosis Calendar to Outlook and/or Google Calendars which allows you to overlay all of your organization’s program information with your own personal calendars, and also allows you to have the Gnosis calendar available on portable devices.

Obtaining your Calendar Feed URL

You can automatically obtain calendar Feed URL’s from the bottom right-hand corner of the Gnosis Event Central screen.  The following describes how to manually build the URL for your calendar Feed if you do not get it from Event Central:

Adding Your Gnosis Calendar To Outlook

You will add your Gnosis calendar to Outlook by adding an “Internet Calendar” in Outlook, using the specially configured URL listed in the previous section.

Doing this will allow Outlook to obtain an updatable feed of your live Gnosis calendar.

By default, Outlook will refresh your calendar information from Gnosis every 6 hours.

To add your Gnosis calendar into Outlook, right-click on “Other Calendars” (1) in your outlook calendar view, choose Add Calendar (2) and then “From Internet” (3).  You will then be presented with a Microsoft Outlook dialog window such as shown on the right.

Press the “Advanced…” button to display the more detailed dialog window shown below.

In this larger dialog window, you can change the name of your calendar from the default “Gnosis Calendar” if desired and choose any of the other options presented here.

Finally, press the OK button and your Gnosis calendar will begin to populate with all of your events.

Adding Your Gnosis Calendar To Google Calendar

You will add your Gnosis calendar to Google Calendars by using the “Add By URL” option in Google Calendars.  This will allow Google to refresh the calendar with an updatable feed of your Gnosis Calendar.

Google generally updates these calendars daily.

To add your calendar:

Open your Google Calendar page in your browser and locate a small “drop-down widget” next to the “Other Calendars” list in the bottom left-hand corner.  Choose “Add By URL” to display a dialog box with a blank field ready for you to paste the URL for your Gnosis Calendar (see “Getting your calendar feed URL” above).

Once you have pasted the URL, press the “Add Calendar” button and the Gnosis Calendar will begin to populate in your browser.

You may further customize your calendar by clicking on the “drop-down widget” to the right of the calendar name.  Here, you can change the color and other calendar settings such as the calendar name.
